This project is renovating a former 732sqm LCBO store into a gathering food centre for the community of Simcoe and Norfolk County. The building will accommodate a commercial kitchen, café, demonstration kitchen, office, meeting rooms, and a small retail space. One major challenge was retrofitting plumbing services below the existing structural slab, which involves careful demolition while maintaining the slab’s structural integrity. The concept designs helped Church Out Serving win a major Aviva Insurance Community Fund (2017) prize.
