Located in the heart of Clarkson Village, Mississauga, and working in partnership with The Region of Peel, the 51 unit, 4-storey building complex will become permanent affordable housing in a community in dire need of it. Positioned along Lakeshore West Road, the building is within easy access to amenities such as public transit, making it an ideal location for affordable housing. The existing site was a parking lot space around an active retail frontage lining the streets. The new building will bring a new life to the prominent community while providing more commercial space for a future pharmacy. To minimize disruption to the existing parking, a port-cochere condition provides access to the rest of the site.

To guarantee the building’s functionality over time, we have adhered to rigorous Passive House construction standards, ensuring energy efficiency and reduced environmental impact.

Although the location provides many amenities for the tenants, the building is designed with multiple community support features. Along with the ground floor commercial space, there is also laundry facilities on site and a shared common area for social gatherings and community activities. An outdoor patio overlooks the nearby Turtle Creek, providing further space for tenants to enjoy.

This well thought out design creates a vibrant living environment that not only meets the housing needs of the community but also strengthens the social fabric of Clarkson Village.
