Mount Hope School is an rural community school. The project scope includes a renovations to the existing Gymnasium, washrooms, and conversion of existing classrooms to kindergartens. The additions include a elevator addition and rear kindergarten addition with shipping and receiving and storage as well as site improvement to the kindergarten play areas. Challenges included designing the expansion in a manner which takes into account student safety, sight lines, multiple levels for the ground floor in different wings of the school, as well as the historical aesthetic of the existing building.
