This project involves the interior renovation of a former long-term care facility into 50 units of affordable housing in London, Ontario. The new design features a mix of studio and one-bedroom units, providing a safe and comfortable living environment for residents in this supportive housing community. The building will include a fully functioning kitchen to accommodate housing supports for the tenants, along with a lounge and common room for social engagement. Staff offices for Indwell, a community organization providing supportive housing, will also be located on-site, ensuring the availability of ongoing support for residents. This project reflects a commitment to creating accessible, affordable housing within the community.
The renovations will begin construction under the leadership of Drewlo Construction in the fall of 2024.
