Township of Glanbrook Non-Profit Housing Corporation’s 3-storey, 105-unit seniors’ rental apartments is a proposed infill intensification in the community of Binbrook, ON. The development is situated near the historical town centre of Binbrook, and it will take advantage of the excellent location that is close to a variety of services and amenities such as a library, parks, a community centre, pharmacies, and grocery stores.

By creating new housing units targeted at senior renters, especially those with lower household incomes, the project will help support a vulnerable population experiencing reduced mobility and decreased income. It also satisfies the demand for rental and affordable rental housing in the community and, more broadly, in a city experiencing a housing shortage.

Employing energy-efficient design principles and materials will help the development conserve energy and water and provide residents with homes that are resilient to the effects of climate change and rising energy costs. With its location close to services and amenities, the proposed development fosters a supportive environment for active transportation and reduces the need for vehicles in residents’ daily activities.
