Sandra is an architect and Principal at GBCA (Goldsmith Borgal & Company Ltd. Architects), leading the narrative on adaptive reuse of buildings from Post-Palladian to Post-Modernism.
Panelist: Christopher Borgal, President and Principal at GBCA. In 2024, Christopher was bestowed the King Charles III Coronation Medal for his significant contribution to Canada by the Chancellery of Honours at Rideau Hall.
Panelist: Megan Torza, Architect, Partner – DTAH
Megan is an architect and partner at DTAH whose professional development has been influenced by a strong personal interest in adaptive reuse and the integration of contemporary architecture into historic urban fabric.
Panelist: Emma Cubitt, Architect, Principal – Invizij Architects
Emma is an architect and principal at Invizij Architects, specializing in Housing, Sustainable Design, and working with non-profits. A graduate of the Universities of Illinois and Waterloo, she is a registered architect with over 20 years of architectural experience.
Panellist: Gerry Zegerius, Senior Associate – Tacoma Engineers
Gerry is a Senior Associate at Tacoma Engineers, leading the heritage and investigations team and specializing in the conservation, rehabilitation, and adaptive reuse of heritage structures.
